- Encourages patients to have their imaging completed sooner
- No lost forms - patient is not required to present with printed copy of referral
- No misinterpretation of test required
- Results can be uploaded to My Health Record
For additional support with eRequests, please access resources for Gentu here and Genie here.
Gentu - Get started with eRequests
No setup required — it’s enabled by default. Simply choose Queensland X-Ray when making an eRequest from the lab dropdown menu.
How Gentu eRequests Work
-
To begin creating an eRequest, navigate to Add > Request from a patient's appointment or Patient Details window.
At the top of the window that appears, choose Radiology request.
Enter all relevant information and choose Queensland X-Ray from the Lab dropdown menu. All services that eRequests can be created for will have an eRequest Enabled tag.
Click Print and Send to save, print and send your eRequest.
For eRequests, as long as the patient has a mobile number recorded in their Patient Details window and Do not SMS is unticked, they'll receive an SMS with their eRequest.
-
Your patient will receive a text message soon after the request is submitted that includes an electronic copy of the referral and a link to book their scan.
They will then be able to attend their local Queensland X-Ray practice and present their Referral (online or hard copy).
-
After your patient’s scan, the images and report will be available to you within the usual timeframes.
-
You will be able to track the status of requests in Gentu.
Both paper and electronic requests created through this workflow will appear in Results / Letters > Diagnostic Requests as well as the patient's Clinical tab.
