Sports Imaging

Sports imaging is focused on diagnosing and managing injuries sustained through sports and physical activity.

Sports imaging plays a key role in identifying and treating injuries caused by exercise or sports. It is used to evaluate a wide range of conditions, such as fractures, ligament and tendon tears, muscle strains, and inflammation of joints or tissues. Common areas include the knee, foot and ankle, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, groin, and hamstrings.

Sports injuries are typically categorised as either overuse injuries or traumatic injuries. Overuse injuries develop from repetitive movements or strain and include conditions like tendinosis, arthritis, and stress fractures. Traumatic injuries occur due to sudden impacts or accidents and can involve dislocations or bone fractures.

At Queensland X-Ray, sports imaging combines cutting-edge technology with expert analysis to provide detailed and accurate insights into sports-related injuries. Sports imaging, can help patients recover, prevent further injuries, and maintain long-term musculoskeletal health.
