Magentus eRequests driving seamless digital workflows across healthcare network
Queensland X-Ray (a practice group of Sonic Healthcare’s Radiology division) has become the first radiology provider in Australia to adopt Magentus’ eRequests, a groundbreaking digital requesting solution designed to streamline workflows, enhance collaboration, and improve patient access to diagnostic services.
As the country’s first Open FHIR API standards-based eRequesting solution, eRequests enables referring specialists to seamlessly share essential patient information with diagnostic providers, while giving patients instant access to their digital requests.
eRequests has already transformed pathology workflows at the majority of Australia’s private pathology laboratories by providing real-time digital tracking of requests and processes, including at Sonic Healthcare.
The solution is now extending to radiology, creating a more connected, transparent, and efficient healthcare ecosystem for specialists, diagnostic providers, and patients.
Enhancing Visibility, Collaboration & Patient Choice
With eRequests, referring specialists using Genie and Gentu can track request statuses in real time, ensuring they know whether patients have attended their radiology appointments.
Key benefits include:
• Seamless collaboration between practices and diagnostic providers
• Real-time request tracking for referring clinicians
• A secure, two-way messaging system for streamlined communication
• A strong foundation for further innovation across healthcare services
This milestone marks a significant step toward a fully digital, interoperable healthcare system, delivering faster, more connected care while reducing administrative burdens.
Michele Blanshard, Managing Director (Practice Management & Oncology), Magentus:
