Graduate and Trainee Programs

With more than 50 practices across Queensland our graduates may be offered positions in a fixed location, or may be offered the opportunity to rotate through several different sites. This rotation gives you an opportunity to gain exposure to both hospital and comprehensive community practices, providing you with a unique experience, covering all imaging modalities in a variety of workplace settings.

We invest significant time and resources to traineeship programs, ensuring your training and career development is comprehensive and professionally fulfilling. We provide the opportunity for you to go as far as you want to professionally.

Graduate Radiographer Program

Our intake opens for applications August - October each year.

Queensland X-Ray’s Graduate Radiographer positions offer a great opportunity for professional development across both hospital and comprehensive community radiology practices, while working alongside recognised leaders in medical imaging. Get exposure to more advanced modalities and procedures at an earlier stage with Qld X-Ray's main focus being training and development.

Graduate Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program

Our Graduate Nuclear Medicine Programs will provide you with opportunities to work in general Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Theranostics, and to perform diagnostic CT. Furthermore, Queensland X-ray will develop your Radiopharmacy skills through in-house compounding of radiopharmaceuticals. Providing opportunities to work in all disciplines of Nuclear Medicine and grow into high performing, highly skilled professionals.

Trainee Sonographer Program

Our intake opens for applications around September each year.

Queensland X-Ray’s Trainee Sonographer Program offers students full-time paid employment, whilst undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound through QUT, or other Universities if you are based regionally. The traineeship runs for 2 years, and if you are successful in passing your University program you will graduate as a fully Qualified Sonographer. Regional candidates could also be eligible for reimbursement of university fees after 3 years of service has been completed post qualification.
